PART-TIME SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

IGNITE Pediatric Therapy is a growing private practice looking for thoughtful, talented clinicians who are problem-solvers and will make good team members. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has at least 3 years of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, with a minimum of 2 years working in the pediatric population. The candidate will have experience working with a wide variety of diagnoses and will be able to use multiple therapy techniques.


As a therapist, you will be responsible for providing individualized care to patients and their families with a focus on the quality of therapy. Therapy will take place in our brand new clinic in Austintown, OH.

Training in the following is a plus:

  • Motor speech disorders (e.g. DTTC, PROMPT, cleft/craniofacial speech therapy).

  • Natural Language Acquisition / Gestalt Language Processing.

  • Pediatric feeding disorders (e.g. dysphagia, SOS Approach to Feeding, Feeding Matters, etc.).

  • Toddler and preschool speech & language acquisition (e.g. Hanen, DIR Floortime, Teach Me to Talk, etc.).

  • AAC and non-verbal communication (e.g. LAMP, TouchChat, ASL).

Location: 110 Javit Ct. Suite A, Austintown, OH 44515

Days/Hours Needed: Contract

Speech-Language Pathologist Qualifications:

  • Degree from accredited Speech Language Pathology Master's program.

  • Valid CCC from ASHA.

  • Must be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Ohio, Pennsylvania license is a plus.

  • Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain).

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Current Federal and state clearances (within 1 year old).

Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting standardized and non-standardized assessments and independently treating clients at the clinic.

  • Maintain documentation of progress towards goals that includes daily notes and annual evaluation reports.

  • Consulting with members of the child's care team (e.g. parents, caregivers, teachers, therapists, physicians, etc.).

  • Collaborate and learn with IGNITE staff and external colleagues.

  • Engage with the community through events to provide services needed in the Mahoning Valley.

  • Pursue clinical areas of interest.
