PART-TIME SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has at least 3 years of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, with a minimum of 2 years working in the pediatric population. The candidate will have experience working with a wide variety of diagnoses and will be able to use multiple therapy techniques.
As a therapist, you will be responsible for providing individualized care to patients and their families with a focus on the quality of therapy. Therapy will take place in our brand new clinic in Austintown, OH.

Training in the following is a plus:
Motor speech disorders (e.g. DTTC, PROMPT, cleft/craniofacial speech therapy).
Natural Language Acquisition / Gestalt Language Processing.
Pediatric feeding disorders (e.g. dysphagia, SOS Approach to Feeding, Feeding Matters, etc.).
Toddler and preschool speech & language acquisition (e.g. Hanen, DIR Floortime, Teach Me to Talk, etc.).
AAC and non-verbal communication (e.g. LAMP, TouchChat, ASL).

Days/Hours Needed: Contract
Speech-Language Pathologist Qualifications:
Degree from accredited Speech Language Pathology Master's program.
Valid CCC from ASHA.
Must be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Ohio, Pennsylvania license is a plus.
Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain).
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Current Federal and state clearances (within 1 year old).
Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities Include:
Conducting standardized and non-standardized assessments and independently treating clients at the clinic.
Maintain documentation of progress towards goals that includes daily notes and annual evaluation reports.
Consulting with members of the child's care team (e.g. parents, caregivers, teachers, therapists, physicians, etc.).
Collaborate and learn with IGNITE staff and external colleagues.
Engage with the community through events to provide services needed in the Mahoning Valley.
Pursue clinical areas of interest.
