Working on Words is an inclusive, interactive, and multi-sensory based story time that focuses on embedding meaningful and targeted speech, language, and literacy enrichment within developmentally appropriate play-based activities for little ones.

Each session of Working on Words focuses on incorporating and educating the caregiver on the how’s and why’s of what we are doing. We want to not only work with your child during story time but also equip you with the knowledge and confidence to carry over our strategies at home during your day-to-day interactions with your child. 
 

We approach our all-inclusive environment from a perspective that not all story times are accessible to all children…so let’s make sure ours is! We have structured Working on Words to be a small group of no more than 5 children at a time. We utilize visual supports to help guide instruction, adapted seating, and purposeful structure to our schedule that embeds movement and sensory integration.

 

Our focus is on the process, not the product.
